Biography
Eleni’s work spans structural health monitoring (SHM), hybrid modelling for digital twins, and data-driven decision support for engineered systems. She is the author of more than 350 peer-reviewed papers and serves on the editorial boards of leading journals in dynamics and SHM. As Principal Investigator of the ERC Starting Grant WINDMIL, she advanced smart monitoring, inspection, and life-cycle assessment of wind turbines. Her contributions to the vision of self-aware infrastructure have been recognised internationally with multiple awards, including the ASCE Walter L. Huber Research Prize (2020), the EASD Junior Research Prize (2020), the J.M. Ko Medal, and the 2024 SHM Person of the Year award.
