Practical Tools for Risk and Resilience Assessments

Description

This workshop invites submissions that present practical tools for assessing risks and enhancing resilience in infrastructure systems. We welcome contributions from research projects to private sector developers, showcasing a wide variety of approaches. From developing climate adaptation strategies to tools addressing socio-economic disruptions due to infrastructure failures.

The workshop will consist of two parts. First, a series of short plenary demonstrations will introduce participants to various tools, offering insights into their design, purpose, and applications. In the second part, interactive group discussions will allow for deeper engagement, where participants can explore selected tools in more detail, share experiences, and discuss integration into planning and decision-making processes. We are especially interested in tools that support scenario-based assessments, participatory mapping, and digital platforms for decision support. Submissions should emphasize practical use, relevance to real-world challenges, and opportunities for collaboration across sectors.

This workshop aims to create a space for meaningful exchange between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. If you are developing or applying tools that support risk analysis or resilience building, we encourage you to contribute to this interactive and solution-focused session.
