Biography
Sophie Punte is a strategic network leader bringing industry, government, civil society, research and development partners together to address common sustainability challenges. She is the CEO of Life-Links, co-founded with Kuehne Climate Center, to build resilient supply chains for sustainable development with a focus on freight and logistics. She is founder and board member of Smart Freight Centre, and supervisory board member of the truck EV charging company Milence.
Previously, Sophie led We Mean Business Coalition’s global policy engagement strategy, was board member of ALICE (Alliance for Logistics Innovation and Collaboration in Europe), headed Clean Air Asia to reduce urban air pollution from transport and other sources, and worked with the United Nations, New Zealand’s Ministry for the Environment, engineering firm WSP and audit/advisory firm KPMG, in both developed and developing countries. Sophie has a master’s degree in biology and environmental management from The Netherlands.
