Rallis Kourkoulis

Dr. Kourkoulis is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Grid Engineers Consulting Firm, with an experience of 18 years in engineering practice and research. He has served as a consultant in numerous multi-hazard engineering projects in several parts of the world including the Europe, the Americas and the Pacific, while he has been the primary investigator or coordinator of over 20 research projects funded by the EU. He has significant experience in managing projects involving multiple partners and private-public partnerships as well as projects involving several disciplines. He has coordinated the design and development of Infrarred, Builderr and Piperr, the three major tools offered by Grid Engineers to International clients in order to optimize decisions with regards to hazard risk minimization in buildings, infrastructure or pipeline systems. Prior to founding Grid Engineers, he had also served as director in NTUA Lab. of Soil-Structure Interaction systems where he gained significant research experience. He has authored 26 Journal papers and 58 papers in Conference Proceedings.
